Courtney O’Neill

Courtney is an Associate Member of CILEx who specialises in property litigation with a particular interest, and vast experience, in landlord and tenant disputes.

Courtney started her legal career in September 2015 at a national law firm before joining Bartons in June 2018.

Courtney has recently acted for the following clients:

• Residential landlords wishing to recover possession of their properties due to a tenant’s breach of the tenancy
• Residential landlords wishing to recover possession of their properties using the ‘no fault eviction’ route
• Residential tenants in ‘no fault eviction’ proceedings brought by their landlords
• Commercial landlords seeking to forfeit their leases
• Commercial tenants seeking to end or renew their leases
• Commercial landlords seeking to end their lease without renewal under one or more of the grounds set out in section 30(1) of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954
• Clients requiring advice on, and representation in claims about, their rights and obligations under covenants attached to their properties
• Clients requiring advice on and representation in boundary disputes
• Clients making adverse possession claims
• Clients objecting to adverse possession claims
