Louise Macmillan

Louise is a Director of Bartons and joined Bartons in 2013 to head the Family team, having previously been a director and head of the Family team at a Plymouth based Law Firm between 2005 and 2013. Louise is very experienced in Family law matters and uses her expertise at Bartons to help separating couples resolve their financial issues as constructively, and effectively, as possible.  She has expertise in complex financial cases, often involving Trusts, family businesses and assets in more than one jurisdiction. Louise also regularly advises clients on pre-nuptial agreements, post-nuptial agreements, and cohabitation agreements.

Louise is equally skilled at advising on the arrangements for children following parental separation.

Louise is accredited as a Specialist Family Lawyer by Resolution, which is the leading association of Family Lawyers in England.
